For all those who can't yet find spring in nature (like me) I browsed my favourites and found many colourful spring flowers.

Leap Day & FeaturesWell today is the last day of February, leap day this year. I can't believe that tomorrow it's March already! Seems like Spring should be just around the corner now, I know some places already have blossoms peeking out, but today we are experiencing our first big storm of the winter. Ironic really, we've had such a mild winter this year, hardly no snow at all, then on this extra day of the month we get slammed. :lol: The weather service is calling for up to 10+ inches by this evening. White-out conditions. Heavy, wet, packy snow. I went out earlier this morning, before it got so bad, but then decided to take the rest of the day off of work after I almost got into 2 accidents from other vehicles pulling out in front of me and sliding/spinning all over the road. So it's kind of nice to be able to hunker down inside, wrapped in a blanket, enjoying a book and some computer time, and just generally being lazy. :XD:

today Iwant to thank you for your support in the Kellenhusen calendar photo contest. What seemed impossible for me in the beginning  has come true: we  made the 2nd place! http://www.kellenhusen.de/fotowettbewerb.php
I have to say "we" because without your votes I would never have been successful. I really hated to beg for votes because it is highly unfair, but after I noticed that the  picture that is now in the 1rst place got more than 40 votes within one single day, I decided to "fight" in the same way this photographer obviously did. A big "Thank you" to all of you who supported me by giving me your vote! I swear that I'll never again enter a contest like that  where the final ranking doesn't depend on the qualitiy of a photo but on the number of "friends" who vote for it.
My picture now has the chance of being chosen as the calendar motif for September 2014. A jury of experts will decide about that in March 2013. I will infor
Dear September..September is the first month of Autumn. Days are already gotten shorter and in the morning when I go to work it's quite cold outside even though at noon it becomes very warm. We can almost say that summer's gone. Now we think of all the great stuff we've done during summertime: holidays, tanning, swimming, hiking and a lot of photographs. Now it's time to go back to work, kids start school in a couple of days and nature transforms itself in a beautiful pallet of golden, rusty and red tones. (can't wait :eager:)
As of me, I attented the first wedding as a photographer a couple of weeks ago and it wasn't so bad :D I really hope it won't be the last time. I also had a couple of private photoshootings with some friends of mine and they also went pretty well.
