Outside snow's falling all around,
Already a foot's piled on the ground;
Inside the candles are burning slow,
The firelight has dropped down low.
Our family's gone, the day is done,
We had ourselves a lot of fun;
Cookies, cocoa , candy canes,
Stories, songs and board games.
But now there's only you and me,
On the rug, beside the tree;
Wrapped in blankets warm and tight,
Snuggling close in the soft light.
Been making love the whole night long,
Listening to old-time Holiday songs;
And this is how I dreamed it would be...
Our first Christmas, just you and me.
