Guess what? I just realized the other day that I've been on dA for 2 years now!

I feel like I have too many deviations for that amount of time, even though I go through and delete some every few months. But, I do more than one thing... photography, manips, fractals, and others; I don't want to make a separate account for each art form. Too little time & sub money for that!

I feel much more organized keeping everything on just one account (other than stock), all my art & personal stuff in one place.
Well, Spring is finally in full-bloom here!

Except for the massive amounts of bugs (mainly black flies & ticks), I'm loving it; I've been out driving/walking every day taking pictures lol. It rained earlier this week and was chilly, and is supposed to be next week as well, but the weather's been very nice the last few days, sunny and warm but with a cool breeze. At night the temps are dipping into the low 30's F though, which is nipping at some of the plants. There's been no snow for over a good month now, so hopefully we're in the clear for that.
I've gotten to take a lot of Spring flower photos this year. Right now there's Trilliums, Lilies of the Valley, Tulips, and a lot of store-bought flowers (pansies, bleeding heart, etc). There's all kinds of wild things in bloom. The Apple blossoms are just starting to open, and I'm eagerly waiting for the Lilacs to bloom as I didn't get any pictures of them last year. The English daisies are popping up, too, and I found a yellow Moccasin flower the other day. I have a lot of new pictures, just not much time to border/sig/upload them, so I think I'll try to spread uploading them out over the summer months.
One of my outdoor cats had kittens a few weeks ago, three black ones... again lol. Over the last few years, all other color/markings have disappeared from our cats, they're all black. I got some pictures of them when they were just a few days old, then I took some more yesterday. Will get them uploaded soon. A couple days ago while walking up to get the mail, I came across a pair of Killdeer (birds) and their three babies; I got some very cute, very close pictures of one of them. I've also gotten pictures of baby ducks and geese this last week. I'm looking for bird's nests, particularly Robins, as I've always wanted a shot of their eggs and babies, but the Robins seem to just be starting their nesting here.
"Well, what about Bears?" you're probably thinking? I've been able to get a few not-too-great shots of one lately! For about a month and a half now, we have had a bear (possibly 2) in our yard, right on our step! Someone seems to be feeding it, when you open the door to look at him he comes walking right up to you with that expecting look on his face. He's been through all 5 yards on this road, and everyone has made complaints to the DNR, but they won't do anything about it. It's very quiet and fast, comes out anywhere between 9:30 - midnight. If it find something it wants to eat, bird seed, leftover cat food/milk, etc, it just lays right down on it's stomach and eats. The other night we heard the cats go under, and we looked out both windows... didn't see anything. Opened the door, and right on the other side of the screen, on the top step, it was sitting staring in! Then it walked over to our gas tanks and stood up on them, looking into the kitchen window! It goes through the yard, walks up the driveway, and goes right down the middle of the main road. There's been complaints from all over uptown, too; it's tearing down bird feeders and garden things. The people at the end of my road are worried because two of them have little dogs, and one has a couple kids. And down at the end of the road, there's a woman living all alone, and it was practically
knocking on her door. She heard tapping at around 11pm a few weeks ago, and turned her light on, looked out her window, and it was standing up against her half-glass door!

It's not coming around as often anymore, but every couple nights it's out there, and other people still have it, too. Hopefully it will leave soon... anyway, I'll upload a picture or two of it in my scraps sometime next week.
