The City teaser   Some days it's hard to remember what it was like; what it was like before That Day. Some days I forget what it was like to hear the ring of a telephone, or the quiet murmur of a television in the background. The way a Double Cheeseburger from Mickey D's tasted. The way The City used to light up after dark. The way my wife's hair smelled.

   Some days.

   But most days, those things are all I can think about.

   I sit, and I smoke my cigarette, and I think about all the things that ceased to exist on That Day. I think about them, and I wonder if I will ever experience them again

First manip of 2011!

My work schedule has changed quite a bit over the last couple of weeks, so I have some time again for Photoshop. I have felt inspired these last few days towards some ideas for new manips. In the winter, I find myself focusing more on digital art than my photography, as there's just not as much to take photos of outside (for me, anyway; there's no flowers, bugs, etc; though hoar frost is always fun!).

Jenna this is lovely!

I should be moving by the end of this month into our new home...hurray!!!! Of course I will be without my computer once again...at least until we are settled. How nice it will be to be organized once again.

That's good to hear! I bet you will be very relieved. How are you surviving the winter so far? It has been so bitter cold here, temps that we are not used to. -22F, -32F, night after night, with not much snow to use as insulation.

My kitchen sink/pipes are frozen as we speak, and we haven't been able to start the car for 2 days now. Not happy.
