Memories of Autumn

I love Autumn. It's my favorite time of year. During a bitter cold winter or a ghastly hot summer, I think back to Autumn and this is what I see. Beautiful, warm, and glowing; that's how I remember it and what I look forward to every year.

I decided to add the text brush because while I was working on this piece I just had that nostalgic feeling, thinking 'I can't wait to see the landscape colored like this again". It could be interpreted as a memory of an Autumn love affair, the text portraying letters that the lovers wrote to one another after they were apart and remembering each other, remembering that wonderful Autumn they had together. Hence the name "Memories of Autumn". And no, that isn't a personal experience, it's just a little 'story' that I developed while staring at this for hours while I worked on it lol. I have a wandering, romanticized imagination. You can interpret it however you like.

Many hours went into this, first putting it all together then changing this and adding that and playing with different things; a lot of brush, overlaying, and color level work.

But I'm very very pleased with how it turned out.
