Forget-Me-Not flowers ( more info on them here [link] ), photo taken back in May. In the Spring, my yard and the surrounding area is just thick with these tiny blue beauties. It's so hard to get a clear shot of them; they're hard to focus on! And the wind always seems to be blowing lol.
Could every blossom find a voice And sing a strain to me, I know where I would place my choice, Which my delight should be. I would not choose the lily tall, The rose from musky grot, But I would still my minstrel call The blue Forget-me-not. And I on mossy bank would lie, Of brooklet, rippling clear; And she of the sweet, azure eye, Close at my listening ear, Should sing into my soul a strain Might never be forgot, So rich with joy, so rich with pain-- The blue Forget-me-not. Ah! every blossom hath a tale, With silent grace to tell, From rose that reddens to the gale To modest heather-bell; But oh! the flower in every heart That finds a sacred spot To bloom, with azure leaves apart, Is the Forget-me-not. Love plucks it from the mosses green When parting hours are high, And places it Love's palms between With many an ardent sigh; And bluely up from grassy graves In some loved churchyard spot It glances tenderly and waves The dear Forget-me-not. - from 'Malcolm’s Katie: A Love Story: Part V' by Isabella Valancy Crawford

I might be rambling on about rubbish when I say this but I love how the forget-me-nots differ quite a bit! The ones I see in the garden are always a fairly deep blue and have really rounded petals but the ones in your photo are a lot lighter and more delicate looking. I love your shot The bottom flower is focussed beautifully and is very crisp <3
Beautiful! These beauties drew my eye immediately through their dainty and glorious color and form. I love these flowers, they are one of my favorites, and this image is one of the nicest that I've seen. Forget-me-nots are such a romantic flower and I always think of the Victorian period and the ladies with their tea parties in the beautiful English gardens.
You have a terrific composition with such clarity that I feel that I can pluck these dainty flowers right out of the image. "Wish I could!" LOL
